Marcus King
Next in the lineup for our 2019 AmericanaFest Video Sessions is South Carolina blues-rocker, Marcus King. An official showcasing artist at this year’s AmericanaFest in Nashville, King took the time to stop by our Soundcheck Office and perform solo acoustic versions of “Autumn Rains”, “Remember”, and “Jealous Man”.
El Dorado, the debut solo record from Marcus King, is set for release on Januar 17, 2020 on Fantasy Records. Produced by Grammy Award-winner Dan Auerbach, the album is a collection of 12 tracks written by King and Auerbach and featuring legendary writers including Paul Overstreet, Ronnie Bowman, and Pat McLaughlin. “Already a 23-year-old guitar phenomenon El Dorado will further establish Marcus as an innovative songwriter and one of the most soulful voices of his generation,” writes Premier Guitar. “El Dorado is a contemporary sonic exploration of classic rock, blues, southern R&B and country-soul where subtle acoustics and pedal steel shines bright alongside raucous electric guitars and blistering solos.”
Following numerous sold-out headline shows and festival performances with The Marcus King Band, Marcus recently announced the El Dorado Tour in support of his new record. The Marcus King Band is traveling all across North America through the end of the year and into the beginning of 2020 and then will continue across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
